Peter Moore Named As Liverpool FC’s Chief Executive

Liverpool Football Club tonight announced that Peter Moore will leave his position at EA to become their new CEO.

Fenway Sports Group released a statement on the clubs official website and said the following;

Liverpool Football Club has named Peter Moore as its new chief executive officer.

The appointment completes a 10-month transition plan by FSG and finalises the senior management structure at the club.

This is surely the dream job for the Liverpool born  businessman who is a lifelong Liverpool fan. And with the club previously stating they were looking for a more “business minded CEO to replace Ian Ayre” he appears to be an ideal fit for the club.

Peter Moore had previously been involved in the video games industry including being COO at SEGA, Head of Xbox Division at Microsoft (with his famous Halon2 and GTA IV tattoos) and, of course, his current position of Chief Competition Officer at EA.

This appointment also sees several other moves within the club’s management.

Peter will take up his new position in July 2017.

Project Scorpio specs leaked to Eurogamer!

Eurogamer have somehow gotten their hands on project Scorpio white papers – and they make for some interesting reading!

I’m not going to get into too much detail here; mostly because hardware specification discussion leaves me glazed over in a stupor of sheer boredom, but the big thing is that they have gotten rid of the Xbox One’s ESRAM!  They do recommend that developers do not forget to support ESRAm though, in order to keep games running well on the base systems!

It is hugely interesting and hints at how Microsoft intend on combatting the PS4 Pro in the high end console market!

Let the console wars begin!
