Backlog Blitz Vers. March

BacklogWith this version of Backlog Blitz, I am determined now to fall below the standard that I set for myself last year – I have hit the stage where my baseline is now the number of games I completed last year. I do not (and will not) fail to better that number. The good news is that streaming has really boosted the number of games that I am playing to completion – even though I feel like I’ve done a lot already, I still have a heck of a way to go.

Welcome to backlog blitz 2018. Continue reading

What Do You About A Problem Like Backlog

I know that MrJohnSherry is currently chronicling his adventures through his backlog, but I too am attempting to work my way through my own and it is proving to be troublesome. Throughout January I have been taking Sony up on some of their smashing Winter sale deals and it is proving to be a killer decision.

Before I start on my issues though I want to let you all in on the size of the problem that lies before me; and I’m only going to talk about my Playstation Consoles. The games in my backlog are:

  1. Murusaki Baby
  2. Freedom Wars
  3. Persona 4 Golden
  4. Tembo the Badass Elephant
  5. Resident Evil 0 HD
  6. Uncharted 2 and 3 HD
  7. Flower
  8. Fl0w
  9. Journey
  10. Assassins Creed Unity
  11. Transformers Devastation
  12. Alien Isolation – Challenge Rooms DLC
  13. Rock Band 4
  14. Valiant Hearts

That list is truly frightening, there are some games on this list that are 20-40 hours long and even some that are considerably longer! I want to have this backlog clear by the

time that ‘The Division’ gets released; but it’s gotten to the point were I power up the console and cannot decide on what game to play!

The task at hand is beginning to look like a mountain!

What can I do about this? Continue reading

My New Year Resolution

….apart from 1080p.

So ladies and gentlemen, now that Christmas is out of the way we have reached that point in the year where we all make pointless resolutions which we will all drop by January 2nd. What will mine be I hear you all eagerly ask? Will I join a gym and work out 20 times a week and end up looking like Dwayne Johnson? Probably not, but I have a little challenge for myself, let’s just use it as a resolution too!

The Art of the Backlog

…We Are Going To Need A Bigger Shovel!

Let’s face it, every gamer has one. You may not realise it, but you most certainly do. Personally, mine is longer than I care to think about – the vast majority of the games I own on Steam have never even been installed let alone finished. So, last month I decided it is time I cleared a few of these games, if only for my own personal gratification (not to mention saving a bit of cash trying not to add to it!) Let’s have a look at the games I have decided to clear up! Continue reading

The curse of the gaming backlog

Chances are if you’re reading this article you are an avid and active gamer but take a second and think, how many games do you own?

Now you have a rough figure, think some more…how many of those games have you seen the end of?

If those two numbers are not the same i’m afraid you have fallen into the trap that all gamer’s do; you have accumulated a gaming backlog. However fear not for you are not alone! According to Valve 37% of games bought on steam have NEVER been loaded let alone completed.
