As a 15-year-old there was nothing better in the world than booting up my PSOne and my copy of Tony Hawk’s Skateboarding (that’s what it was actually called here in the UK) and losing myself hours of my day while having an absolute blast. Honestly, I would say that between MrJohnSherry and I we probably wasted 200-300 hours playing through the single player collecting everything and playing horse for days.
It was a superb game! Continue reading

…patches will fix everything!
In light of the magnificent release of No Man’s Sky patch 1.3 I thought we should take time to appreciate other games and developers that never gave up through sketchy initial releases and make the game live up to it’s full potential! Also, I am back! Continue reading
Well, I’m still catching up but I am getting there!
A few weeks ago now the ESA occurred. For those who are not in the know, the ESA is the European Speedrunners Assembly and it is; unsurprisingly, a speedrunning marathon that heavily features the best of the European crop of speedrunners. It’s slowly gaining momentum and traction on Twitch and this marathon was its best yet (don’t get me wrong though, it still has a long way to go to truly rival GDQ).
This year was a damn good marathon with a lot of games and categories that GDQ just don’t feature.
Unfortunately they are also severely unbudgeted and as a result their upload time to YouTube is incredibly slow – right now (10th August), there are only 40 videos to watch of the speedruns. So rather than this being a definitive “BEST OF” this is a “best of” of what’s there. Maybe in a month I’ll revisit this post and update it accordingly! Continue reading
Here I am, still catching up with the posts that have eluded me this summer season; I’m so far behind in my posts that even when I do attempt to catch up I make a boo-boo or two and find myself having to rectify them (that’s what I’m going to do in here).
July was a much more successful month for me with gaming; I actually got some done! Although the vast majority of this gaming was done on my VITA; which is still a damn good machine by the way, I did get some PS4 gaming done too. I finally got round to starting and making some solid progress with Rise of the Tomb Raider and I reinstalled The Evil Within (with my eyes set firmly on completing this game after starting it two years ago).
I know that August will definitely have some video gaming time and I can only hope that it is more successful than the two previous months. Continue reading
