Finally I have some time to sit down and write up my favourite runs from SGDQ2017!
About bloody time too; to avoid you waiting anymore here are a few of my favourites…
Titanfall 2 by An Angry Albino
One of my favourite games this generation and my favourite shooter since Modern Warfare gets absolutely destroyed!
The sheer skill level on show here is mind-blogging and it highlights exactly what the developers had in mind when they created the greatest form of movement ever seen in a game.
Ratchet & Clank by Xem
Ratchet and Clank is a game I played through for the very first time only last month. It took me about 20 hours to beat it – here it took less than two!
Again this is here because of the sheer level of play as well as some skips that are surprisingly accessible but bloody difficult to execute with consistency!
Superhot by Bullets
Wow! Just, wow!
Bionic Commando Rearmed by PJ
This run is perhaps the most fun run of the entire marathon; PJ is incredibly charismatic and bloody funny! I laughed the whole way through this run and I think you will too!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Radical Rescue by ZorelaxSeven
This is a game that I have never heard of and Zorelax owns it in world record pace!
This is an incredible run that looks easy but I’m sure as hell its bloody difficult! That is the sign of a truly great speed run though; absolutely unbelievable stuff on show here!
Super Metroid (Race) by Oatsngoats, Zoast and Overfiendvip
This is a race that sure as hell didn’t go as the organisers would’ve hoped. You know what though? The fact that it goes so wrong is the reason why it’s so good!
Once the poop hits the fan it takes on a new lease of life and becomes one of the most entertaining runs of the marathon! It’s funny as hell and Zoast displays some serious speed running chops!
Super Mario Series (Relay Race) by Team Reznor, Team Boom Boom and Team Birdo
This run was just incredible; 15 of the bet Mario players in the world going at it in epic race across the entire series!
Watching the whole thing makes you feel inadequate about your game playing skills but it’s all good – this is one of the tightest races SHDQ has ever put on!
