Microsoft announce Xbox Games Pass

Microsoft has announced a literal game changer with their new Xbox Games Pass.

Xbox Games Pass is a subscription service that will give gamers unlimited access to 100 Xbox One and 360 titles a month for $10.

Like Netflix these games will be on a rolling basis with some leaving the service and others joining it every month.

There is a laundry list of publishers who are already on board;

such as 2K, 505 Games, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Capcom, Codemasters, Deep Silver, Focus Home Interactive, SEGA, SNK CORPORATION, THQ Nordic GmbH, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft Studio

The best thing about this program however is that the games are not streamed; they are downloaded to your hard drive!

There was no mention of how it will work (or indeed if it will work) with play anywhere and PC.

It looks and sounds fantastic value for money and I’m sure it’ll be a massive success. It’s being made available to Xbox insiders today in an alpha preview – so it’s exciting times to be an Xbox gamer!
