Nintendo Announce Breath of the Wild Season pass

Zelda-Wii-U-E3-RevealToday Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild will have a season pass.

The pass will cost £17.99 and will have two bundles of content released throughout the year;

  • Bundle one is scheduled for a summer release and will include a cave of trials mode, Hard mode and something called “additional map feature” what ever that is!
  • DLC pack 2 will launch over Christmas and seems much better value than pack 1. It includes a new original story, a new dungeon and “additional challenges.

If you buy the season pass then on release day you will receive the expansion pass bonus content which includes;

  • 3 treasures chests  that can be found in the overworld and “contain useful items”
  • A piece of in-game clothing

It’s not the most generous season pass ever seen and it remains to be seen how popular it will be.

The season pass will be available on both WiiU and Switch on March 3rd 2017.

  1. I’m not thrilled with the season pass, but I’d be more open to it if there were more to it. It seems awfully light compared to what seems like a huge amount of content already included in the game. I guess time will tell what exactly these new features and challenges are.
