Are Activision Giving Up?

…Not that I am complaining!

We have all been here a million times now, it is the season for the new Call of Duty and Battlefield reveals! DICE tweeted yesterday that they will unveiling their new game on May 6th (9pm BST) and while Activision are yet to say anything, we have got a few “leaks”.While leaks are leaks and as always should always be taken with a pinch of salt, shall we look at them anyway? Ah, go on! Ok, so apparently it will be titled “Infinite Warfare”…yeah. I am not quite sure what I think about that or even what the heck it is supposed to mean really but I am willing to give it a chance. The real hype material isn’t that though, it’s much better!

Are you ready for this?

You sure?

Hold onto your butts!

Apparently Call of Duty : Modern Warfare will be remastered and included in the legacy edition for Infinite Warfare! YES! Get in! Unfortunately, this will probably set you back in the region of £65-70 (It is tagged $110 CAD in the leak) and I really don’t see Activision wanting to sell it separately. Let’s be serious here, if they did the new COD would most likely instantly die. Who would play it over MW:Remastered? Exactly!

So that leads me to one question, are Activision giving up? Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying they are going to stop making Call of Dutys – far from that! After all they still sell by the boat load, they just don’t do Call of Duty of old numbers but they are still very very impressive every year.

I think this could be a trend for Activision if it sells well. Next year remaster Modern Warfare 2, then World at War etc etc. It would keep the old fans coming back and having to buy the new games to get the old ones will inflate the numbers to crazy heights again.
Exciting times ahead – lets just hope this leak is for real!

Would you buy the legacy edition to get Modern Warfare remastered?

Or are you completely done at this stage?
